Squash Coaching – Changes

I am delighted to announce that Brenton Gage has agreed to take overall responsibility for both junior and senior squash coaching and oversight for squash development at Sutton. Brenton will be taking over the Saturday morning junior coaching from Natalie Le Serve. This coaching will begin on Saturday September 10th: a) Mini squash for ages 5-9 is from 8.45am – 9.15am; b) Coaching for Junior intermediate players from ages 9-11 is from 9.15am – 10.15am; c) Junior advanced coaching for ages 11+ is from 10.15am – 11.15am. Brenton will also be introducing additional junior squash coaching mid-week after school. This is in addition to the Playball classes and camps which Brenton provides for younger children, which are a great way to introduce ball skills to those under 5. As part of Brenton’s oversight of the development of squash at Sutton, in addition to the Sunday Club evenings (5.20-8pm) and the group coaching sessions on Wednesday’s (7,20-8.40). Brenton will be organising Social squash events and we will be exploring whether there is interest in introducing a racquetball club session at a time outside the peak weekday booking times. Brenton will continue to offer private squash and racquetball tuition to all senior and junior members who believe they would benefit from his expert advice. New members will also continue to be offered either a half price individual lesson or three half price group coaching sessions with Brenton when they join. Please contact Brenton at brenton.gage@sky.com; Phone: 020 8296 91417; or Mobile: 07545 904852 for details of coaching opportunities. As part of these changes Natalie Le Serve-Ort will be retiring from junior squash coaching at Sutton after over twenty years of coaching many of our junior squash players. We are very grateful to Natalie for all the expert help and guidance she has given, with several of those she has coached reaching high levels with the Surry Junior Squads. We wish her well for the future. Andrew Jennings Squash Captain
