Squash & Racketball Bubble

We are pleased to announce that full court Squash and Racketball is back!

Please note there is very specific guidance that we all must agree to in order for play to be allowed.

You must create a bubble of a maximum of six players and only play within this bubble is permitted.

It is not possible to be part of multiple bubbles either within STSC or another facility.

In order for you to play full court it is essential that every member emails suttonsquash@gmail.com stating the full names of the six members within their bubble. You will also need to confirm within the email that you will abide by the England Squash guidelines in the link below.

https://www.englandsquash.com/back-to-squash/guidance-for-players

Once we have received the emails from every participant we can create the bubble on mycourts under the league tab.

Social distance Squash and drills can still be played with any member of the club.

Please continue to adhere to the hygiene protocols that we implemented and continue to sanitise hands and court handles on entering and leaving the courts.

Please also make sure your membership is up to date and active. We are currently looking at ways to show our gratitude for those that kept their membership running throughout this difficult time.

An outline from the England Squash website:

What is a ‘squash bubble’?
Bubbles consist of a maximum of six players and players within a ‘squash bubble’ are permitted to play full-court matches with the following modifications:

- Only two players on court at one time

- Play the best of three games

- Play first to 11 points, sudden-death at 10-all

- Use ‘Sides’ to maintain social distancing throughout the warm-up

- During each game, when the first player reaches six points, both players should wipe away excessive sweat, and sanitise their hands and the ball. Repeat between games

- The same player to serve / touch the ball during each half of a game, and at the halfway point, switch servers

- Protective eyewear or visors are strongly recommended at all times

- Don't wipe your hands on the wall

Players are not allowed to shout or raise their voice

- Please maintain social distancing when not on court, and continue to follow your club’s/venue’s hygiene and cleaning policies

Here's to a taste of normality
